Pilgrimage Tour to Bhutan
Rimpung Dzong
One of 155 temples and monasteries in the Paro Valley, Rimpung
Dzong is reached by crossing the river on a traditional
cantilevered, and covered bridge. The dzong houses some fine
examples of Bhutanese religious art including mandalas and a
large Buddha statue in the assembly hall. The spectacular dances
of the Paro Tsechu held here feature the thongdrel (silk banner)
of Guru Rimpoche which covers an entire wall of the dzong.
