Chumpu

A five hour walk from Paro, Chumpu is famous for its Dorji Phagmo temple. Chumpu has rare images of Dorji Phagmo. An ancient statue of Buddha and a phurba (ritual dagger) made by Desi Tenzin Rabgye.

Chumpu is one of the beyuls or hidden lands identified by Guru Rimpoche. The temple is surrounded by lush vegetation. There is a small lake above the temple.
